The Two Year Olds

Wow! What an adventure. I do believe that photographing FIVE (yes, five!) two year old boys has got to be one of the most challenging and hilarious photo sessions I've done to date! Since I've got one of my own (a two year old boy, that is...) I showed up braced and expecting little. I was pleasantly surprised!

We laughed, we cried. We got dirty knees, we ate dirt. We played in the woods, we played in the sunshine. We blew bubbles, we swam in pools. We dodged bumble bees, we killed worms. We lost our shirts, we even lost our pants. And we ate {lots} of sugar. It was a fun time!

They say that girls are the sugar and spice and everything nice. But you know what, I'm pretty sure boys have a little somethin' sweet in 'em too. :)

First of all, meet the mamas. Five beautiful ladies.... all friends and sisters in Christ. A little over two years ago they were all pregnant together, and come to find out... ALL with BOYS!

Fast forward two plus years, and here they all are with their little men in tow.

Now, let's meet those boys. Here is...

Joshua...

Judah...

Isaac...

Daniel...

And last, but certainly not least, Joseph...

These little guys sure gave me a run for my money and kept me in stitches the entire shoot. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day...

{We were not above bribing. Note to self: toddlers are not puppies, but they do respond equally as well to tasty treats.}

{Poor Josh... he was hoping so badly for rain so he could sport his little froggy umbrella and matching froggy galoshes. We, of course, allowed him to sport it in the sunshine anyway. Just as cute, I think.}

{I'm sorry. I had to. I felt this photo just embraced the essence of this day. Oh boys!}

{All five boys... together! A small miracle.}

{And then, we decided to add Daniel's older brother, David... just for good measure.}

Dear boys, blessings to you all. I pray that you all grow into wonderful men of God. I hope that you enjoy a lifetime of brotherhood together. I hope that you treasure these photos, and that one day, when you are all 80 years old, and all still friends, that you will look back on these portraits.... and remember when...
